Meet our Knotty Boy Sponsored-Child Family!
Daniel Sathiyawell - Sri Lanka |
December 06 - As of December 25, 2006 – in fact, early Christmas morning, to our absolute delight - enough funds were collected through the Knotty Boy Eco-Packaging fundraiser to add yet ANOTHER child to our sponsorship effort. We are so pleased to introduce 15-year-old Daniel Sathiyawell from Sri Lanka to our growing family - now a grand total of eleven!
This handsome fellow is in the eighth grade this year, and lives with his father, mother and two sisters. Because Daniel’s father suffers from paralysis, his mother is only able to work part-time as a housekeeper while also caring for her family, bringing in only approximately $60 per month income. This is in no way enough to provide food, clothing and education for all the children, so with your help, we are able to supply the funds to sponsor Daniel for these things. Overall, this fundraising project has been a truly remarkable endeavor and we’ve been so overwhelmed and heartened by everyone’s contributions to these kids. Just by choosing to help the planet a little, you are helping these children a LOT by giving them education, food and shelter so they can grow up and hopefully, in turn, help change their own worlds. Thank you, once again! |

Knotty Boy does not profit from these donations - all funds are used to directly sponsor children that are in need. Thank you so much for your help so far - and please continue so we can help more of our planet's hurting kids!
