Premodani Prasadini Heraluge is from Mailapitiya, Sri Lanka and she is 13 years old (2005). She has two sisters and her parents are unemployed. Her father does some volunteer work, but is being treated for mental illness and is not well. There is no family income except as occasional charity is given. Premodani is a very capable child receiving excellent grades from the school she attends, and she loves reading. Thank you for helping us and her family support this little girl! |
Letters: Premodani - Summer 2005 Dear Sponsor, How are you? I am fine. First of all I want to thank you for your great help to me. You have done so many things to me; you have a great and kind heart. Again I like to thank you for all the things that you have done for me. We have had our Mid-term exam. I got 4.00 point out of this exam. That is the highest marks in our school. We have our Final exam on the 1 st of August. I will hope I can get high marks from this exam. During this month I am studying hard. End of this year my second sister, Prabuddika, will have GCE O/L exam. So she is studying hard. Please pray for me and for my sister. We also pray for you and for your family. Fall 2005 Dear Sponsor, How are you? I am fine. First of all I want to thank you for all that you have done for me. Every time I pray, I thank God for your very kind help towards me. Each day as I came to school and as I study and learn new things, I always feel grateful to you, and your help which enables me to continue my education in this school. On the 1 st of October we celebrated children’s day. The Children’s Ministry Department in our church organized a special service that was conducted by children only. All my friends and I participated on this program. I helped translate most of the English parts and I also was part of the children’s choir. And on October 6 th, we children made up a program. Especially for our teachers. On that day each one of us did something simple to show our gratitude towards our dedicated teachers.And now we are all preparing for the next special occasion. Christmas, then the New Year. I hope that you too, will celebrate a wonderful and joyful Christmas, and that the coming year, would be a year of blessings for you and your family. This week (Oct. 18 th – 20 th) we are having our mid – term examinations. I am studying very hard to get good grades, and a good GPA. We have already finished a few exams and I was able to do the exams successfully. Thank you so much, once again for your thoughtful help. My parents and sisters also say think you. In these days I am studying hard for my O Level Examination. I think I can get high marks on that. Please pray about my exam. Do you know that I have two little lovely cats and a lovely dog too?
