Hey, Knotty ones! It’s been a little while since we last chatted, and now the leaves are a-fallin’, the nights are getting longer and Winter’s a-comin’. And we’re now EIGHT years old, too!! Eight!
Good gravy, how the time flies. And now that most of us have had a spook-tacular Halloween and a turkey/tofurkey-tastic Thanksgiving (ok, well at least the most important people in the world had their Thanksgiving already, and by most important we mean CANADIANS.), we’re setting our sights on the even more exciting events surrounding the last few months of the year. Yep, you all know it, that’s right, all together now… Life Dayyyy! The most important Wookie holiday of the year in Star Wars! Hoorayyyy! Oh - no? Wait, sorry, just kidding, make that Festival of the Bellllls, the midwinter celebration in Fraggle Rooock! No? Uhh… Roman Hedgehog Day? Hm… Feast of the Circumcision? (delicious, we hear) Agnostica, the celebration of the birth of quantum physics? HumanLight, the recently invented Secular Humanist midwinter festival? Ok, fine, FINE. Because it couldn’t possibly be Christmas or anything else so terribly religious as Santa Claus in this overly PC Age of ours, lets just settle on the day invented by Frank Costanza from Seinfeld: Festivus! For the rest of us! From this point on, we declare all references to Wintery celebrations in the following Knotty Boy eZine will be referred to as Festivus. Hooooray! |

You’ve gone and done it again, you Knotty kids!! Thanks to your extra $1 contributions upon checkout from our website, meet our most recently sponsored cutie, little 4½ year old Indhumathy Murugan from India. (Don’t worry, Indhu, we hated picture day, too.) Indhumanthy’s mum works as a laborer, and her father recently passed away, so it’s been sad times for this family with very little money to go around, on top of it all. But not only have you guys directly impacted Indhumanthy’s life by helping to provide her with a year’s worth of food, clothing and schooling she otherwise would not have had, you have also helped this hurting planet by choosing a better packing-material option for your order – and that ROCKS. For us, this is called ‘purpose beyond profits’ and is a driving force behind everything we do here at Knotty Boy. Keep on helping us make a difference through our Eco-Packaging/Child-Sponsorship fundraiser here, and thank you again for your support! |

In case you missed last eZine’s big fat announcement about Knotty Boy’s very first product to be launched in our new line of Knotty Boy Natural Essentials for Every Body, here’s a quick recap, just cuz we’re so dang excited about these amazing bars. Also a heads-up – the cute but temporary label pictured above is going to be replaced with a new, kinda psychedelic 60’s rock-poster style label that will better represent the entire new line within the next few weeks. Hope you like it! |

As “Festivus” (see eZine intro for a refresher on other such politically-correct winter celebrations) is typically a season of PARTIES, what better way to make your locks look smashing then with some of our NEW beautiful beads, pendants and sleeves? The Big Silver Bruiser, aka The Wrecking Ball (and yes, it just might stun AND smash you if you aren’t careful.) / Chinese Ceramic Flower Pipes / Silvery Butterfly Pendants / TITUS THE TURTLE (Titus, you’re just too cute. Especially when Emma says ‘Toi-tus’ in her extra-cute Engerlish accent.) |

It’s getting closer to the end of the eZine, and that means its time for everyone’s favorite part...
Last but not least, as we hard-working Knotty Boy employees also need to take some well-deserved time out for gift-opening and cracker-popping, please note the following Holiday closures for the Knotty Boy Lock Shop and Salon and Knotty Boy DreadQuarters: Closed Of course, the Knotty Boy website will be up and running for your purchasing pleasure, just in case Santa err… Festivus, uh, Womyn (?) brought you some extra chedda this year and you’re overdue for some dreadlock renewal. Do note: Miss KnottyEmma of Customer Service is heading back to jolly ol’ England for the break and won’t be processing order returns until January. Emma thanks you in advance for understanding, and will be thinking of you all while munching on her Festivus pudding, perhaps in celebration of the Feast of Circumcision. *…what IS in that pudding…?*, we wonder to ourselves. Ho ho ho, and we’ll see you again in 2007!! We love you!! The Knotty Crew |
