I'm afraid this is a 'how long is a piece of string' type question!  A long time! Is the answer....

While the dread removal kit works REALLY well, there is no such thing as a magic potion that you pour over your head to remove dreads. It takes a lot of hard work and unpicking- you can expect to take as long taking your locks out as it took to put them in.
