If you’ve removed your dreadlocks with care, your hair will be just fine. For the first few days, it will be a little “shocked” – standing up more, and it might be much curlier than it was (it’s basically been in the worlds smallest curlers for the duration of the locks.) Using a diluted little bit of removal conditioner will weigh it down enough to pass as normal! You’ll need to get a trim for sure, but your hair will be in good shape if it started out that way. Hair that was chemically treated prior to or during the life of your locks may be more brittle.
