article How do I use the Tightening Gel?
Here's the scoop- you should ONLY use the gel on WET HAIR!!!After washing, palm-roll in a pea-sized blob per couple of dreads.Too much gel, using gel on dry hair and exposing gel to too much heat (ie: from a hair dryer) can cause flakiness. This doesn't mean you shouldn't use a blow-dryer at all, just keep it on a low setting.

Of course! But NOT dry, or you’ll just end up with tacky feeling, flaky dreads. Yuck! Instead, take a spray bottle and lightly mist your locks. Then go ahead with your gel routine. If you palmroll often (and you are…right?) you can save yourself a step by mixing a few teaspoons of gel in a spray bottle with just enough water that you won’t clog the nozzle. Shake shake shake, spray, and roll. (but hey – you do still have to palmroll after washing. No excuses.)

The Tightening Gel can be used to start and maintain locks. When using it to start locks, it must be reapplied every time you wet your hair as it's a water soluble product (which makes it way easier to clean up than wax, hence it's popularity). It will make washing your hair in the beginning stages a more delicate process for sure, so be prepared for extra backcombing.
