NEW Tutorial Video: How to Remove Dreadlocks Without Cutting

We’re pleased as punch to announce our latest video tutorial showing how possible it IS to remove dreadlocks, mats and tangles, without having to reach for the scissors.

If you’ve ever thought about having locks, but the prospect of eventual baldy-ness has always kept you from making the dreadful leap, let Kris from The Dreadquarters show you, step by step, how you can now enjoy having, and then removing, locks with a little help from the magical Knotty Boy Dreadlock Emergency Removal Kit.

The Knotty Boy Emergency Dreadlock Removal Kit is the World’s first scissor-free dreadlock removal system. It is designed to remove locks started with wax-based dread products, but also works wonders in the untangling and deep-cleaning of all dread types, and of ANY age. It is also incredibly effective in the removal of ‘trauma tangles’ resulting from prolonged hospital stays, immobility and depression, and knotted, matted hair on children and pets.

Coming soon: Jumbo 8oz Removal Kits – double the size, and including the recommended tail comb seen in the tutorial.

Save that hair! It can be done!

Hi I was watching your tutorial on dreadlock removal and was wondering how to do this if the dreadlocks are extensions. Ive had them in for about a month and I regret having them done.

It will definitely work! One thing that may make removal easier is to cut off the extension part of your locks, as long as you can see where the blend is. Best would be to cut longer than your hair was originally, that way you’ll keep as much of your own hair as possible.
