How do i know when my dreads are mature?

When we say 'mature', we mean locks which will hold together without the aid fo any product, and which are firm to the touch. They can no longer be - easily - pulled apart by your fingers, and you no longer need to backcomb and palmroll daily.

Not to get all faux-zen on you, but, basically, when you no longer need to ask that question.
