I applied too much dread wax

If your dreads start looking like candles, or start falling apart into stringy pieces, you've probably applied too much wax.

Start by washing your dreads thoroughly, then allowing them to dry. If after a dry palmrolling they still seem to have too much wax, wrap a dread in a paper towel and apply heat with a blowdryer. You should be able to blot out some excess this way.
