One should be plenty if your hair is up to medium length and if you haven’t had your dreads for more than 4 or 5 years. Use your judgment, if your dreads are rock hard you might need a little bit more. And keep in mind that you’ll want to use any leftover conditioner for at least a couple weeks after the removal. Sure! The conditioner is really useful immediately after the removal as a leave-in. You can try using a mixture of conditioner/water in a spray bottle like we mention in the How To. It will keep your hair from standing on end while it gets used to a new level of gravity. So to speak.  Read More »

If you've removed your dreadlocks with care, your hair will be just fine. For the first few days, it will be a little 'shocked' standing up more, and it might be much curlier than it was (it's basically been in the worlds smallest curlers for the duration of the locks.)
