As far as dreadlocks are concerned, no. We recommend once-weekly washing because that seems to work best for most people. Twice a week is fine, too.. but much more than that and you run the risk of your dreads never fully drying out and bacteria causing an unpleasant odour, what we here at Knotty Boy (don't) like to call stank dread.

But you know your own head best! If you need to shampoo / rinse more often, be sure to air dry fully (without your hair bound up in a hat or otherwise, or slept on, &c).
