Should i get my hair cut before dreadlocking?

Only if you want your dreads shorter. The messier your ends are, the easier they'll integrate into stubby tips eventually.

Freshly cut hairs are smoother and don't entangle as easily, so they'll have an ever-so-slightly harder time matting up at the ends.
